South African DJ and music producer DJ Maphorisa and social media star Cyan Boujee are the talk of the town. After being seen together in a private lounge, rumours have emerged that they are in a relationship.

The clip, showing the two sharing what some users said was a joint, was posted by Musa Khawula, the well-known YouTuber and self-styled “Pope of Pop Culture”, and quickly spread across social media.

The post was captioned, “DJ Maphorisa and Cyan Boujie are secretly dating.”

The video, filmed secretly, has led to online debate over whether the recording violated the pair’s privacy.

Despite the controversy, DJ Maphorisa began trending on X as fans reacted to the clip.

In response, one fan praised Khawula’s boldness, tweeting: “Musa will go to extreme lengths to get us evidence. Give him his flowers.”

Another user compared the DJ to African political leaders, saying: “DJ Maphorisa in music is like these African dictatorship presidents.”
