Nigerian footballer says he is not dating Mihlali

Nigerian footballer Toluwalase ‘Tolu’ Arokodare has shut down rumours that he is dating South African influencer Mihlali Ndamase.

The gossip started after Mihlali’s flashy Dubai holiday made headlines on social media. Some fans linked her to Tolu, who is also based in Dubai, and claimed he was “smitten” with her.

The blog Maphepha Ndaba even said Tolu had started following Mihlali’s family members on Instagram, The Citizen reported.

Things got even messier when it was revealed that the two follow each other on Instagram. That was enough for some people to believe the rumours were true.

But Tolu has had enough.

“Y’all are killing me with these posts… I am single, y’all please stop, abeg. These posts about me are false,” he said on his Instagram Stories.

Mihlali, who is known for living a luxurious lifestyle, has not said anything about the rumours. She just told her followers that she is back at work.

Her trip to Dubai included first-class airport photos and shopping at designer stores like Louis Vuitton, Dior and Rolex. She also posted photos of herself looking stylish on the beach and by the pool in Fashion Nova swimwear.

For now, it seems the story is just gossip, with Tolu making it clear he is not in a relationship, and Mihlali staying quiet.
