Chris Brown has arrived in South Africa

American rapper Chris Brown has finally landed in Mzansi ahead of his much-anticipated concert in Johannesburg this weekend.

Rapper Chris Brown has finally touched down in Mzansi. Big Concerts, the event company organising his concert, announced the news on X this afternoon.

The live entertainment company shared snaps of Breezy landing in South Africa surrounded by his crew and police.

In the pictures, he is seen wearing a hoodie to hide his face and camouflaged pants.

The Go Crazy singer is set to mesmerise his fans when he performs at FNB Stadium in Johannesburg on 14 and 15 December.

The rapper’s concert will proceed as planned despite efforts by Women For Change to have it cancelled.

The non-governmental organisation started a petition calling for the cancellation of the concert.

“Chris Brown’s history of violence against women, including his 2009 arrest for assaulting Rihanna, stands in stark contrast to the values of this global Anti-GBV campaign, especially in a country where femicide is five times higher than the worldwide average.

“Hosting Chris Brown sends a harmful message to survivors of abuse and undermines the progress we are trying to make in addressing GBV in South Africa,” said Women For Change.

The organisation advocating for women’s rights has criticised the Department of Home Affairs.

“We demand to know how Home Affairs could grant a visa to a convicted abuser to perform in South Africa.”

“This decision is concerning and indicative of a systemic failure to protect the very individuals who need our support the most.“
