1. Akhumzi Jezile
Akhumzi Jezile was a beloved South African actor, TV presenter, and producer.
Born on January 15, 1989, he made a name for himself as a presenter on SABC 1’s “YoTV.

In 2009, he was voted the most popular kids’ show presenter.
He also interviewed international stars like the Black Eyed Peas and Mary J.
Blige.
In 2014, he won a SAFTA award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in the drama series “Tempy Pushas.
”
Sadly, in 2018, Akhumzi died in a tragic car accident while traveling to his grandmother’s home.
A truck collided head-on with his vehicle, killing all five passengers, including Akhumzi.
He was only 29 years old.
2. Dumi Masilela
Dumi Masilela was a multi-talented actor, musician, and former footballer.
He played for Supersport United before a car accident ended his soccer career.
Dumi then pursued music and reached the top 18 in “Idols SA” in 2012.
His acting career took off when he starred as Sifiso Ngema in the popular TV show “Rhythm City.

In 2017, just three months after marrying actress Simphiwe Ngema, he was killed during a hijacking attempt.
Dumi was shot as he tried to flee the hijackers and later died in the hospital.

4. Simba Mhere

Originally from Zimbabwe, Simba moved to South Africa as a baby.
He won a presenter search in 2010 and quickly became a household name.
Simba worked as a voice-over artist and MC for prestigious events, including Miss South Africa 2018.
In 2015, Simba died in a car crash at the age of 26.
His Mitsubishi collided with another car, resulting in the deaths of Simba and his friend.
The driver responsible was sentenced to 10 years in prison for culpable homicide.
5. Marubini Mogale
Marubini Mogale was a rising star best known for her role in the TV show “Backstage.

She was also dating fellow actor Clint Brink at the time.
In 2002, Marubini died when the car she was traveling in overturned and landed on its roof.
Clint Brink, who was driving, and Marubini’s sister survived the accident.
Marubini was only 21 years old when she passed away.
Though Clint was charged with culpable homicide, he was acquitted three years later.
6. Senzo Meyiwa
