Businesswomen to baddies: Who has Paul Mashatile dated?

Deputy President Paul Mashatile – who recently declared a R28 million mansion – has dated several women – allegedly at the same time.

South Africa’s Deputy President Paul Mashatile has earned a reputation for his multi-million rand mansions and his relationships with beautiful women.

Since the passing of his first wife, the 64-year-old has been linked to several women.

He is now married to his second wife, Humile Mashatile.

PASSING OF FIRST WIFE

In 2020, Paul Mashatile’s first wife, Manzi Ellen, died from complications after contracting COVID-19.

The couple had four children, Palesa, Thabiso, Tinyiko, and Ayanda.

Manzi Ellen was a hairstylist who had her own salon.

PAUL MASHATILE’S RECENT RELATIONSHIPS

Since being widowed, Paul Mashatile has been romantically linked to other women, whom he allegedly pursued at the same time.

According to Sunday World, Johannesburg woman Gugu Nkosi claimed that she embarked on an extramarital affair with Mashatile from 2014. She claims the now deputy president vowed to marry her after the ANC National Conference in 2022.

That same year, Nkosi accused Mashatie’s adviser, Keith Khosa, of assaulting her and damaging her vehicle after she arrived at the former’s house announced. Nkosi claimed she had spotted Mashatile’s now-wife, Humile, on the property.

Paul Mashatile also reportedly had a fraught relationship with another ex-girlfriend, Norma Mbatha, a businesswoman and ANC stalwart.

According to The Star, Mashatile and Mbatha dated for “many years”; however, the timeframe has not been made public. Mbatha was reportedly served a protection order by Khosa, who claimed Mashatile’s ex had been “harassing” him on social media. In return, Mbatha filed for a protection order against Khosa.

In 2023, Paul Mashatile married Humile, the widow of ANC Western Cape secretary Songezo Mjongile, who also died in 2020. It’s unclear when the couple began dating.

NOT NOMZAMO MBATHA

This week, media personality and actress Nomzamo Mbatha distanced herself from allegations she was romantically linked to Paul Mashatile.

This, after an X user posted screenshots of Mbatha at Mashatile’s R28 million Constantia mansion, which he recently declared ownership of.

The entertainer responded to the post with her own receipts – literally – of her renting the property via an Airbnb website.
