Gayton praises Liam Jacobs: โRemember his name!โ
Patriotic Alliance president Gayton McKenzie has praised his partyโs newest recruit, former DA MP Liam Jacobsโฆ
Gayton McKenzie has welcomed the Patriotic Allianceโs new recruit โ Liam Jacobs โ with open arms. This comes after the former Democratic Alliance member jumped ship in a shocking move over the weekend.
The 24-year-old outspoken MP has been critical of both the Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture and his political party.
GAYTON MCKENZIE PRAISES LIAM JACOBโS DECISION
In a social media post, Gayton McKenzie broke his silence on Liam Jacobsโs decision to join the Patriotic Alliance.
He posted, โRemember this name, Liam Jacobs. We will guide him to heights unimaginable. He is a true talent and will greatly assist in changing the trajectory of our people.โ
A day before Liamโsย shock announcementย that he had moved to the PA, Gayton called out the DA for โhijacking Liamโs hard work for a political agenda within its partyโ.
He shared onย Facebook:ย โThey are not pushing him to heights but to a cliff. It hurts me big time that I found myself as a weapon that is used to destroy one of the brightest young minds in the coloured community.
โLiam is not seeing that he is being used and will be discarded soonโ.

Seemingly predicting what lay ahead, Gayton added: โI love you, Liamโฆyour best years are still ahead of you. We shall read about your achievements in this lifetime, continue to do your work with no fear or favour.
โOne day they will spit him out and we will be right there and pick him up because he is one of us always.โ
FROM DA TO PA โ WHAT HAPPENED?
Liam Jacobโs decision to jump ship from the DA to the PA was made in a shock social media post on Friday, 13 June.
In a Facebook Live with Patriotic Alliance president Gayton McKenzie and MP Ashley Sauls, Liam revealed why he chose to leave the blue party for the green one.
The 24-year-old is known for his bold questions in parliament and thought-provoking videos on social media.
Liam claimed that in a recent parliamentary committee meeting, during which he critiqued the leadership of the National Arts Council, Gayton said something that touched him โdeep in my soul.โ
He said of Gaytonโsย words:ย โHe said to me, โYou call me a dictator when your party doesnโt have one coloured person as a minister or deputy minister, despite coloured people making up the overwhelming majority of the voteโ. When he said that, it was a moment when I swallowed my breath. At that moment, I knew it was time to come homeโ.
