‘Stop it!’ – Refilwe Modiselle slams fake marriage reports

South African television personality and model Refilwe Modiselle has set the record straight and slammed false reports alleging that she is a married woman.

Refilwe, whose younger sisters are dancer Bontle Modiselle and the recently married actress Candice Modiselle, didn’t take kindly to a report from X account @Simphiweyinkoci.

The account posted pictures of the Modiselle sisters with their spouses and said, “All the Modiselle sisters are married” falsely implying that Refilwe is married to former Top Billing presenter Chris Jaftha.

“The way people will chase clout without fact checking… I didn’t know I’m married… ?,” Refilwe quipped on X.

She also revealed that the pic posted by the account to push the false narrative is in fact from an old Top Billing shoot she did with Chris.

“Guys please man this was a pic from years ago when we shot an ep of Top Billing. Why yall taking things that are clearly stated where they are from to run a narrative that’s not true. Stop it! Futhi lo that posted took this concocted post from FB from another page,” said Refilwe.

Reacting to her followers’ banter about the false allegations, Refilwe jokingly added that all the fake rumours are going to make her miss out on her potential future husband as she is neither married nor dating at the moment.

Refilwe’s sister, Bontle, is married to rapper Priddy Ugly and shares a four-year-old daughter, Afrika, with him. The couple wed in September and celebrated their fifteenth anniversary together in October 2024.

Meanwhile, their youngest sister Candice, revealed on Human Rights Day that she recently got married and shared stunning pictures from her traditional wedding ceremony.
