Known for her role onΒ The Mommy Club, Ratile poured her heart out on social media about reclaiming her life and healing from the trauma.

β€œTaking it one step at a time, embracing every part of my journey, even the unhealed and unrecovered. My story isn’t just mine; it’s a testament to resilience, and it’s meant to touch lives forever. I am not what happened to me, reclaiming Boitumelo,” she wrote.

Ratile now goes by her maiden name online and is focusing on her family’s mental health. In an interview onΒ Engineering Your Life, she revealed that she and her children attend therapy weekly.

β€œWe’re trying to keep up with the new normal and create new traditions for the four of us,” she said.

She also opened up about how difficult it has been to talk to her children about the loss of their father.

β€œIt left me traumatised. More trauma than anything. Having to also feel the absence because we’ll have the conversations with the children, and now we need to constantly revisit it. It’s a journey,” she said.

Ratile chose not to comment on any tensions with her late partner’s family, instead focusing on the emotional toll of the loss.
