Kemiso Motaung has become Amakhosiโs chief digital game-changer

In a video that has got South African football fans talking, Kemiso Motaung, head of digital at football club Kaizer Chiefs, sets the record straight about her place in the Motaung family.
Posted on X by @Constitution_94 on June 5, 2025, the clip sees Kemiso addressing a long-standing misconception with her standing in the Motaung lineage. She says, in her signature charm, that sheโs not the youngest Motaung sibling, despite what many Amakhosi supporters believe.
โEveryone thinks I am the youngest child in the Motaung family. I am actually not the youngest. Kaizer Motaung Junior is the one who is the baby,โ she says, laughing.
Celebrating familyโs legacy
Her playful tone sparked laughter and several Likes across social media.
Kemiso is the daughter of Kaizer Chiefs founder Dr Kaizer Motaung and his wife Valeta. She uses the video to not only correct the narrative but to also celebrate her familyโs legacy.
โI donโt mind being called the youngest, though. It means my genes are good, like my parents.โ
The video, part of a series of personal reflections tied to the clubโs 55th anniversary and her fatherโs 80th birthday celebrations, speaks to her journey in the Kaizer Chiefs fold.
As head of digital, Kemiso has been a game-changer, growing the clubโs online presence to over 2 million Facebook followers.

Womenโs team
She led the Kaizer Chiefs womenโs team launch in 2022.
This latest video is a masterclass in blending personal authenticity with brand-building. It is keeping fans engaged in a digital era, where connection is king.
Yet, itโs not just about likes and shares. Kemisoโs candid approach comes amid scrutiny of the Motaung familyโs grip on the club. Some fans, echoed by UDM leader Bantu Holomisa on X, even question whether their dominance hampers the clubโs progress.
Her light-hearted video subtly counters such critiques. It humanises the family, while reinforcing their commitment to Amakhosi.
