Some have hailed Babes Wodumo as a strong woman after she started performing at gigs shortly after the death of her husband, Mampintsha, but her sister reportedly says the Gqom star still calls out for her hubby only to realise he’s no more.

Mampintsha died on Christmas eve a week after suffering a stroke.

Following the late Big Nuz member’s funeral, the Gqom star has been seen giving performances where she has been seen dancing – actions that have somewhat earned her backlash on social media.

Recently, Babes’ fans and followers suggested the star takes some time to grieve the loss of her husband after a video of her crying while performing her late husband’s song, Ngeke, circulated on social media.

Babes’ sister, Nondumiso Simelane says the star struggles the most with her loss when she’s at the home she shared with her late hubby, reported TshisaLIVE.

Babes Wodumo remembers Mampintsha, shares video with son

“The sad thing is the bed is empty and she needs to take up more responsibilities. Babes is strong. What I like about her is that she didn’t change her character,” Nondumiso reportedly told the publication.

Although she may be putting up a brave front, Nondumiso says that Babes catches herself calling out for her hubby.

“She misses him a lot. She would call for him then realises he is gone,”  she was quoted as saying.

However, Nondumiso is confident that Babes will come out stronger and will be able to provide for her two-year-old son, the report said.

“Raising Sponge is going to be easy for her. She raised my child. What would be difficult for her this time around?”
