Nkosi says she feels ‘light’.
They once had a picture-perfect romance but in a recent statement, actress Jessica Nkosi has confirmed that she and her partner, Uzalo actor TK Dlamini, have split.
The couple had always had a private relationship and welcomed their first daughter into the world in October last year. However, it seems the couple couldn’t make their relationship work and Jessica announced the split in a since-deleted Instagram story series.
“I posted the three Instagram Stories and then went on to delete them about 5-6 hours later,” Jessica said in a recent interview. “I have made the decision to end our relationship. I am no longer with the father of my child.”
Rumours have been swirling for the past few months that TK has been cheating on Jessica, but neither party has confirmed the reason for their shock split. However, in July this year, TK revealed that the cheating allegations are a fabrication. “There’s no such, it’s all hogwash,” he said. “We were together when I received a text message asking if we have broken up. We just looked at it and carried on watching a movie,” he said.
Jessica Nkosi and Ntokozo Dlamini, popularly known as TK Dlamini, once appeared to have an ideal relationship.
Known for keeping their romance largely out of the public eye, the couple surprised fans when they announced they were expecting a child, and in October of last year, they welcomed their daughter, Nami, into the world. The family quickly captured the hearts of fans, who followed their journey with admiration.
However, despite the public’s perception of their relationship, the couple’s bond ultimately came to an unexpected end.
Recently, actress Jessica Nkosi publicly confirmed the split from TK, who is best known for his role on the popular South African soap opera Uzalo. In an emotional and somewhat cryptic series of Instagram Stories, Jessica briefly opened up about the breakup before taking the posts down a few hours later.
In a later interview, she addressed the messages she had shared online, explaining that she had made the decision to end the relationship for good. “I posted the three Instagram Stories and then went on to delete them about 5-6 hours later,” Jessica admitted. “I have made the decision to end our relationship. I am no longer with the father of my child.”
This revelation came after months of swirling rumors that TK had been unfaithful. These rumors, however, were never confirmed by either Jessica or TK, and both have largely refrained from sharing details about their relationship in the past. TK, for his part, denied the cheating allegations during an interview in July.
He called the rumors “hogwash” and stated that he and Jessica were together when they first saw the news circulating online. “There’s no such thing,” he said. “It’s all hogwash. We were together when I received a text message asking if we had broken up. We just looked at it and carried on watching a movie.”
The news of their separation has surprised many fans, as the couple always seemed supportive of each other’s careers and family life. Both Jessica and TK have built successful careers in the South African entertainment industry, with Jessica’s roles in Isibaya and The Queen helping to solidify her status as one of South Africa’s most beloved actresses.
TK’s role as Mastermind on Uzalo also gained him a dedicated following. Yet, like many couples in the public eye, their relationship faced added pressure and scrutiny, and the toll it took may have played a role in their split.
While Jessica has decided to move forward, she has continued to protect her privacy and that of her daughter, Nami. As the couple works to co-parent their child, they are likely to maintain the same level of privacy about Nami’s life and upbringing.
Although their relationship did not work out as they had hoped, both Jessica and TK seem committed to creating a stable and loving environment for their daughter.
In the end, this story is a reminder of the challenges of maintaining a private life in the public eye. Despite their fame and success, Jessica and TK’s breakup shows that relationships can be complicated and that even seemingly perfect partnerships may not be what they appear.
As Jessica moves forward with her career and personal life, fans can expect to see her continue to shine in her professional roles. And while TK is working on addressing the rumors and maintaining his own reputation, both are expected to remain prominent figures in South Africa’s entertainment industry.
Ultimately, the public breakup has sparked conversations about the pressures of fame on personal relationships. Jessica and TK’s split, while unfortunate, demonstrates the complexity of managing family life in the spotlight, a reality that many celebrities face.
