Award-winning singer Makhadzi has spoken about her special bond with music producer Master KG, which has continued even after their romantic relationship ended.
During an interview in Polokwane, the star from Limpopo told The Citizen how they knew each other before fame came knocking.
“I met him before he became famous and rich. We were trying to make it together. That’s why I feel like I know him more than anyone, and he knows me more than anyone,” she said.
The BET Award winner explained why she calls Master KG her soulmate.
“When I say ‘soulmate,’ I don’t mean we are together or not together. It’s just that he’s always protective of me,” she said.
She mentioned that Master KG gets jealous when she dates other people because he worries they might not treat her right.
Their friendship has stayed strong since their split in 2020. Master KG even tried to give her a car.
Makhadzi is now preparing for her big show. She will perform solo at Peter Mokaba Stadium on 21 December.
Her wish is simple: “I just want to fill the stadium.”
