It is worth noting that Chris Brown performed in South Africa after years. As per The Zimbabwe Mail, the singer entertained the fans for nearly three hours, with hits like Anxiety, Heat, No Air, Ayo, Back to Sleep, Angel Numbers, Wall to Wall, and more.

Chris Brown creates history in South Africa: More explored as the singer performed after a viral petition

Chris Brown delivered a record-breaking performance at the FNB Stadium, Johannesburg, South Africa, calling it “the moment I’ve been waiting my whole life for.” He drew a massive crowd of over 90,000 fans, solidifying his place in history.

However, apart from the huge audience count, what makes this event special is that it happened after a viral petition sought to block the singer from performing in the country due to past assault convictions went viral. Led by the women’s advocacy group Women for Change, the petition garnered close to 40,000 signatures.

However, as the concert became a huge success, Chris Brown addressed the audience before performing, thanking them for their support and attendance. He said:

“This is a moment I’ve waited for my entire life.”


After the show, Chris Brown took to Instagram to express his gratitude. Posting a few glimpses of the concert, he said:

“South Africa. I Love You. See you tomorrow. First show was HISTORY. So let’s make it again!”
