Ntokozo Mbambo cancels events until further notice.
She announced this in a press release on Tuesday, 19 November.
The 39-year-old singer from Umlazi in KZN began her professional music career at 15 as a member and lead singer of the gospel group, Joyous Celebration.
She debuted on-screen as a judge on I Want to Sing Gospel and Idols SA season 17.
Subsequently, she went solo and released hit songs that earned her the Sama awards in 2023.
“On behalf of our artist, Ntokozo Mbambo, we confirm that she has recently been booked off for rest. She has been committed to attending a number of engagements in the coming weeks. However, she’s not in a position to honour them as she takes the time to rest. We apologise for all inconvenience caused, and we request your understanding in this season,” the statement wrote.
Meanwhile, another gospel artist, Hlengiwe Ntombela, known as Hle, announced that she won’t be a part of Her Mantle Tour anymore.
The tour is an assignment of various leading ladies in worship and word who come together as one to glorify the audience of one in unity.
Eleven cities have been selected to experience the evening of worship and word as both males and females gather to celebrate and lift their voices on this Her Mantle Tour.
“With a heavy heart, I’d like to share that as of yesterday, November 18, 2024, I’m no longer going to be part of the Her Mantle Tour. My final performance was on 17 November 2024, in Swaziland,” she said in a statement.
Hle said she thought about it deeply.
“After much prayer and reflection, I’ve chosen to step down in honour of the integrity of our ministry and calling. I’m grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of this project and continue to pray for God’s guidance over the remainder of the tour and everyone involved. With love and gratitude,” she said.
