South African businesswoman and fitness enthusiast Rachel Kolisi returned to Instagram last weekend after taking a short hiatus from the app.
The high-profile couple have been trending for weeks since the announcement, with many of their fans weighing in on their undoubtedly difficult decision.
“We wanted to share some important news with you. After much reflection and open conversation, we have mutually decided to end our marriage. This decision comes from a place of love, respect, and understanding, and this is the best path forward for both of us,” reads the statement in part.
The mother of two added that she and Siya will continue to foster friendship while co-parenting their son and daughter, Nicholas, 9, and Keziah, 7.
Over the weekend, Rachel, the kids, and Siya’s sister Liyema headed on a mini getaway, which she posted on her Instagram.
Photos and videos of the trip show Rachel enjoying her children’s company, teaching Liyema a bit of driving and taking time to reflect by the pool.
She captioned the post, “A weekend for the soul. I have a busy week ahead, so this was very needed.”
The 34-year-old also shared a short update on her emotional well-being, thanking friends and family for their support while expressing her readiness to start a healing journey.
She wrote, “This is so hard. I have genuinely been overwhelmed by kindness and love, and I’m so grateful. Fully committed to my healing journey. Peace is my portion.”

The post was inundated with well wishes and support from her friends and fans.
Meanwhile, Siya remains mum on the announcement and has shared a series of posts about his rugby games and recent trips.
The Springbok captain, who has remained active on Instagram throughout the social media storm which erupted after their divorce announcement, still faces many comments from fans pleading with him to make amends with his wife.
One fan commented, “Praying for you and Rachel, Siya. You were such a lovely couple. I hope that you can resolve whatever differences.”
