Some of these conditions, like arthritis and diabetes, are well-known, but there are many others that have gained attention recently, thanks to celebrities who have publicly disclosed their struggles.

Zola, for instance, has epilepsy. He openly shares, “I’m not well,” and explains that epilepsy is a very challenging condition. He experiences frequent fainting spells, with the longest episode lasting two days. Zola takes various medications to stay alive, as the condition can be life-threatening. He was born with epilepsy, but it only manifested later in life.

Anaka has also opened up about living with temporal lobe epilepsy, a brain disorder that causes unprovoked seizures from the temporal lobe. She has been dealing with this since her early 20s and has shared that her episodes have worsened with age. It’s a frightening experience, especially when seizures occur during sleep.

Lerato was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2011. After treatment, she went into remission, but the cancer returned in 2016. In August 2022, she shared a heart-wrenching post on Instagram, revealing that the cancer had spread to her bones and that this time, she might not make it.

Conifer has revealed that she’s living with chronic depression, which affects her mostly during the winter. She recently stopped taking antidepressants. Pudding Bully, who suffers from clinical depression, has been on antidepressants for several years.

Brendan Tambo was diagnosed with chronic anxiety in 2020. Before her diagnosis, she did not even know she had anxiety. Her mind was working overtime, and she was rushed to the hospital because she couldn’t breathe. She was not aware of what was causing it until they told her she had a panic attack.

Weight, who was diagnosed with alopecia at six years old, has been bald ever since. Not having hair was not an issue when he was younger, but he has gotten over it as he’s grown. Also suffers with alopecia and was only diagnosed in adulthood four years ago.
