“Real Housewives of Potomac” star Wendy Osefo and her husband, Eddie Osefo, are behind bars after being arrested for fraud, according to Page Six.
Authorities say the couple was taken into custody on Thursday, Oct. 9, and has a $50,000 bond each, according to the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office in Westminster, Maryland.

Wendy, 41, is accused of insurance fraud, conspiracy to commit insurance fraud, and false statement to a police officer, facing a total of 16 charges. While her husband, Eddie, faces up to 18 charges, including nine for felony false/misleading info fraud in excess of $300, eight for misdemeanor on-false/mislead info fraud in excess of $300, and a misdemeanor charge of a false statement to an officer.
In court docs obtained by US Weekly, the couple reported an alleged burglary into their home in April while they were on a family vacation in Jamaica. They reported that multiple designer bags and jewelry were stolen while they were away.
According to the documents, “He was asked if any of the listed items had been returned, which he denied. When questioned about other insurance coverage, he did not inform Homesite and Jewelers that he was also filing a claim with Travelers Insurance.”
Eddie, 41, and Wendy each signed statements claiming $2,500 for the building and $450,000 in personal property.

In the original claim, Eddie said he and Wendy were wearing their anniversary bands during the loss. He later called back to report his wife’s gold diamond anniversary band as allegedly missing.
That same day, the claim was settled for $25,380, which included the replacement price of the band, worth $4,500.
Upon further investigation of the alleged break-in, Carroll County sheriff’s deputies discovered Wendy was spotted on social media allegedly wearing the ring and discovered the couple was “burdened by substantial debt.”
The docs continued, “The Osefos had an ADT system and a ring camera. The Osefos activated the ADT alarm system upon leaving for vacation. During the time they were away, there was no motion detected inside the residence. There was activity, such as package deliveries, on the ring camera that was monitored remotely by the Osefos.”
The ‘RHOP” star isn’t the only reality star recently in legal trouble. In September, Karen Huger was released from prison at the Montgomery County Detention Center in Maryland after serving six months for a driving under the influence charge.
