AKA’s mom Lynn Forbes opened up about the gift of grace ahead of her second Christmas without her first-born son.
Inspirational speaker Lynn Forbes, the mom of slain rapper Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, popularly known as AKA, has shared the gift of grace in an touching Instagram post on Friday 13 December.
LYNN FORBES: ‘THIS SEASON I INVITE YOU TO EXTEND GRACE’
Lynn Forbes took to Instagram to express that she is sharing the “gift of grace” with her 384 000 Instagram followers.
She explained that amid the grief that is going through after losing her son, rapper Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, popularly known as AKA, she learnt that grace is a gift everyone needs to offer themselves.
AKA was shot dead outside of Wish Restaurant on Florida Road in Durban on 10 February 2023.
“This Christmas, I want to share something deeply personal and meaningful; The Gift of Grace.
In the midst of grief, I have learned that grace is not just for others; it’s a gift we must offer ourselves too.
It’s about choosing to let go of pain, to forgive where we have been wronged, and to heal in a way that honours both ourselves and others,” she wrote.

The mom of two went on to say that she invites people to extend grace even when it is hard and so on.
