“Kaizer Chiefs is really close to scoop Monnapule Saleng right now” – Father speaks!

Kaizer Chiefs will now know what it will take to lure the services of Orlando Pirates’ forgotten man Monnapule Saleng.

The 26-year-old would bode well for the Glamour Boys, who are surely monitoring the situation; it wouldn’t be the first time a player has switched from Orlando Pirates to Kaizer Chiefs, meaning anything can happen.

Bigger salary wanted.

Saleng’s absence was initially related to ‘personal issues’, but after weeks of interviews, it’s believed to surround contractual issues; in other words, it’s down to a lack of salary.

His friend, Boikanyo Maine, said this: “If he was not an important asset, Bafana could not have called him. We are requesting that Pirates consider what he wants,

It’s unfair, imagine getting R70 000 but your contribution in most of the matches speaks volumes, while somebody [else] is getting R500 000.”

If this financial disparity is true, it doesn’t look good for Orlando Pirates, who could soon have Kaizer Chiefs knocking on the door.

According to the forward’s father, “he is the one who cares for us at home and seeing his profession in such a state crushes my heart. I wish he could tell me what is really bothering him before it’s too late.”
