“Look, Otladisa is loved at Pirates by both the board and the fans. So, we saw it fit for him to get game time somewhere else,” Mbhalati told FARPost.

“This is because, at his age, it’s very important for him to play.

“We had four teams who were interested in his services. But, we chose Sekhukhune simply because of the way they showed more interest in him. Yes, other teams showed interest, but with Sekhukhune, it was different.

Orlando Pirates to seal deal for Oswin Appollis with hefty price tag?

“I mean, the manner in which teams approach you when they want you can influence your decision as to whether you want to join them. So, with Sekhukhune, it was easy for us to take that decision.

“He is a top player with a desire to play football. I think South Africa will see a different Otladisa, and I wish him all the best,” Mbhalati concluded.
