‘There is no difference between Nabi and Ntseki’ – Pirates legend claims.

Orlando Pirates legend feels Nasreddine Nabi has had the same success as Molefi Ntseki despite the former given time to build his squad.

Orlando Pirates legend Benedict “Tso” Vilakazi says Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi has not done better than Molefi Ntseki and Arthur Zwane at Amakhosi.

Ntseki and Zwane were in charge of the Chiefs before the Tunisian coach took over in July last year but failed to bring glory days to Naturena.

Speaking on iDiski TV, the Pirates legend said Nabi was no different to Ntseki and Zwane in terms of results. Amakhosi currently lie eighth in the Betway Premiership after 23 matches. Having lost 2-1 to Golden Arrows this past weekend, the Soweto giants are now fighting to finish the season in the top eight

“I said I see a disaster because for me there is no difference between him [Nabi] and what coach Ntseki and coach Zwane were doing,” said Vilakazi. “There is no difference. He plays the same way these guys were playing. Arthur was in a better position with points compared to Nabi, and I think the only difference is that a lot of teams have dropped this season compared to previous seasons when Ntseki and Zwane were there,” the Pirates legend told iDiski TV.

“Okay, I see the number of games and points he has now, but can Coach Nabi show us who he is? What does he have in his pocket? He is playing exactly how Arthur played, using width and crossings; switching is the same thing. If the club thought that coach Ntseki and coach Zwane were not good enough, here is Nabi doing the same thing the two coaches did.

“There is pressure with where they are on the log and looking at the teams around them who have games in hand because if they win those matches, they will jump Chiefs,” Vilakazi added.

The Pirates legend suggested that Nabi might have feared worse than Zwane and Ntseki, especially because he had acquired new players.

What makes Nabi worse for me is that he had an opportunity to sign new players, whereas coach Zwane and Ntseki had to use the same players and were in a better position. I don’t see Coach Nabi taking the Chiefs in a good direction with the way he plays.”
