Kaze also acknowledged the harsh judgment Nabi has faced, noting that such criticism is common in football.
“Sometimes he doesn’t understand the harsh judgment that comes too early.
But in football, judgments are quick to come, especially from the outside,” he added.
Despite the challenges, Kaze expressed confidence in Nabi’s ability to lead the team to success, starting with the upcoming cup final.
Promising Youth Players Set to Join Senior Squad
While the first team has faced its share of struggles, the Kaizer Chiefs’ youth setup has been a beacon of hope.
The club’s DStv Diski Challenge (DDC) coach, Vela Khumalo, recently revealed that three standout players from the reserve league will train with the senior team during the upcoming preseason.
The players—Madaba Gabonga, Tulani Mabaso, and Takalani Mazamba—played pivotal roles in the reserve team’s successful campaign, which saw them clinch the DDC title.
Khumalo expressed his excitement about the players’ potential, stating, “We are not necessarily saying we are promoting them, but we are saying if the first team can just take them for the preseason and do their own assessment, we’ll see.”
While their official promotion to the senior team is not yet confirmed, their inclusion in the preseason setup signals the club’s commitment to investing in youth talent.
Khumalo, who has had a stellar year as a coach, also reflected on his achievements, including guiding South Africa’s U-17 team to the World Cup and winning the DDC title.
“This is by far the best year of my coaching career,” he said.

Amazulu FC Retain Arthur Zwane as Head Coach
In other PSL news, Amazulu FC have decided to retain Arthur Zwane as head coach beyond the current season.
Zwane, who took charge of the team late last year, has impressed the club’s management despite a challenging start.
After suffering early defeats, Zwane managed to stabilize the team, securing three wins, two draws, and four losses in nine matches.
Club chairman Sandile Zungu praised Zwane’s efforts, stating, “We believe that he has done an awesome job in giving character to the team.
We think he needed to be rewarded with greater loyalty by us.”
Zungu confirmed that Zwane’s contract extension has been communicated to the players and technical staff, signaling the club’s intent to build a stable foundation for the future.
Mamelodi Sundowns’ Stars Shine Bright
As the PSL season nears its conclusion, Mamelodi Sundowns players have continued to deliver standout performances.
Among the top performers are goalkeeper Ronwen Williams, defender Mothobi Mvala, and forwards Thapelo Morena and Lucas Ribeiro.
