️PSL news: Relebohile Mofokeng set to leave Orlando Pirates?

There’s growing uncertainty surrounding the future of Orlando Pirates youngster Relebohile Mofokeng.

Orlando Pirates phenom Relebohile Mofokeng has the world at his feet and several clubs after his services.

The 20-year-old is already etching himself into Buccaneers folklore, scoring the concluding goal in last October’s MTN8 Cup final and continuing his fine form in the CAF Champions League, playing the main protagonist in the Soweto giants top of Group C finish.

The hype around Mofokeng is palpable, with the likes of Barcelona drooling over his potential, while Zamalek had an R25.8 million bid rejected weeks ago.

One can only assume the offers will continue snowballing, and Orlando Pirates will find it harder to keep hold of their generational talent.

The Sharpeville-born star remains committed to Orlando Pirates, but only time will tell how long that lasts – foreign temptation is sometimes too attractive to turn down; just ask Percy Tau.

Bafana Bafana boss Hugo Broos has boldly claimed that this will be Mofokeng’s last season in the PSL, begging the question: Does he know something we don’t?

“Talking about Mofokeng, I just hope that he makes the right decisions.

And that he is not going to a team where he won’t play,” Broos told iDiski Times.

“I see all the things around, Barcelona and Rangers and… (sighs) I’m a little bit afraid.

I just hope that the people around make the choice of the best sportive solution and not the best financial solution.”

“Okay, I think his parents want the best for him, that’s for sure.

But there is another guy who wants to win a lot of money also, but that’s the problem.

But ok, let’s hope, maybe I talked too soon about that,” he said of the Orlando Pirates star.

“We’ll see. I think in June, Rele will not be a player of Orlando Pirates anymore, but a good choice is very important.”
