Today, we’re going to reveal 11 actors who all believe the rumors that they are gay. Number one is Vil Skam. Actor Vil Skam had to explain himself that he’s not gay via a media publication after nailing a gay role on the youth drama “Skam.”
He plays the role of Climate on “Skam,” who comes out as gay on the show. Fans were shocked by how convincing he was as a gay character and started thinking that he might be gay in real life. But the truth is, Vil is not gay.
He had to do research on the gay character and prepared for years before he opened up. He just accepted to play a gay role to clear out the misconception of people in the LGBTQ+ community.
Number two is JT Mud. The second actor some people assume is gay is JT Mud because he’s nailing his gay role on “Smoke and Mirrors.” He is so convincing to an extent that most people are searching on the internet to see if he’s gay or not.
If you research well, you will find out that JT is married to his wife of the opposite gender. His wife’s name is Lee, and both used to play as siblings in “Generations: The Legacy” as Jonathan and Angel M. So, JT Mud is not gay at all, but he’s really good at acting.
Number three is Prince. He plays the role of Orid alongside Vil Remy in “Skam” as his gay boyfriend. Prince is very convincing in his gay role, and fans were also wondering if he’s gay or not.
In 2023, he protested on social media about fans who continue to ask him whether he’s gay or not. This probably means he’s not gay, but there’s no clear evidence of either he’s straight or gay, except that he does not like to be asked about it.
Number four is Tammy. Actor Tammy is well known for playing alongside as a gay couple in “Generations.” Their onscreen names were Sizo and Jason, one of the first gay onscreen couples. But are they gay in real life? Obviously not; they were just acting like everyone else.
Tammy, who played Senzo, was in a relationship with Jo and Re until they separated after allegations of infidelity. So, despite playing a gay role, Tammy is a straight person who is flexible to play even gay characters. He’s a straight person who loves to play different characters, including gay ones.
Number five is Warren Masimula. No one kills the gay character like season actor Warren Masimula. He is well known for his starring role as a gay neighbor to Toni in the SABC1 sitcom “Top Billing.” His versatility as an actor, being able to portray a thug in one thing and effortlessly shift gears to become gay in another, is astonishing.
Number six is Impos. In the third season of Netflix’s popular series “Blood and Water,” we were introduced to a new character, L, played by Impos, who finds himself in a love triangle when he falls for bisexual C, who happens to be in a relationship with B, played by Natasha Thiyan.
Fans who don’t know much about Impos started speculating about the person behind the character, whether he was gay or straight. Impos took to social media to clarify the confusion; he is straight and only played the character to challenge himself since most male actors shy away from such characters.
Number seven is Chad. Back in 2016, Chad broke the internet when she played the role of a lesbian character in “Generation: The Legacy.” She was so convincing that some people thought she was a man.
Number eight is Brighton Masepo. Known for playing Quinton in “Scandal,” a role he played for years as a straight character, but when he left the drama and joined “The Republic,” he became so good at this character that even on set, other homophobic people did not like him.
Fans who think Brighton is gay are wrong. The actor is married to his wife for ages now and they were blessed with a child.
Number nine is Vu. Vu portrayed the role of a gay character on “The Queen” alongside veteran actor Botha. Both men are heterosexual and have wives and children of their own, but they decided to play gay characters as a couple in the drama.
Friends and family of CEO started to think that he is gay and he’s been hiding, considering how good he acted. Obviously, CEO is not gay, but what about Vu? Well, Vu is not gay as well, but he’s good at what he does.
Number 10 is Bohang. There was a time on “Scandal” when the firstborn son of the Langa family, Chumani Langa, came out as gay, and fans were shocked. But somehow, it was clear that he was gay, except for those who doubted.
Either way, we are talking about Bohang, who played as Chumani’s gay boyfriend in the soap. Most fans were convinced that Bohang was gay because he was just nailing his role.
So, is Bohang gay? Obviously not; he is just too good. Bohang is married to his wife of the opposite gender, Shanti, since 2021, and the two are very happy.
Number 11 is Pingos. Pingos, son of musician Ringo Mingos, was playing a gay character alongside in the city as a gay couple. As a result, he gained a new fan base in the LGBTQ+ community, and he was happy for that. Some fans thought he was gay in real life, but Pingos is not gay; he’s just a dynamic and versatile actor.
