‘I’ve lost five babies’ – Lerato Kganyago
Metro FM star Lerato Kganyago has opened her heart about losing five babies through miscarriage and her wish to give her mother a grandchild.
The former Miss Soweto took to social media on Monday to share her pain, saying she wishes she could “borrow an infant” for her mum, who has just gone back to work after retiring.
“My mum retired in August; they called her back, so she is going back to work tomorrow, like mum-like daughter. My heart is aching. I will be praying at midnight. Can I borrow an infant for a week? Will bring it back,” she wrote.
The 40-year-old DJ, who is an only child, added: “I wanted her to relax and travel. I think she got bored. She just needs a little human to keep her busy.”
Kganyago has been honest with her fans about her struggles to have a baby.
Her most recent loss came when she was three months pregnant.
“This was the happiest but became the most painful part of this month of love! Thank you to my supportive colleagues, my bosses, my family, and my friends. I’m strong and will never give up.”
Earlier this year, she shared her fourth loss with followers: “I was pregnant. I’m sure you guys saw that I was really big… then I had a miscarriage.”
She told Zimoja she had high hopes for that pregnancy. “I thought this time around that I had made it through because I had been trying so hard for a while.”
