Guys, when people were saying that actress Lerato Nxumalo is just wasting her money by taking legal action against controversial gossip blogger Musa Khawula, maybe they do not lie, you know.
The drama between these two has escalated from social media gossip to a full-blown legal spat, and Khawula’s response is exactly what his followersโand his detractorsโwould expect: defiant and dismissive.
For those who are lost, I did upload a video yesterday detailing the situation.
Lerato Nxumalo, known for keeping her private life fiercely protected, has sent her lawyers to Musa Khawula.

This is a move that so many people in the South African entertainment industry have tried before, but ultimately failed to silence the ‘Gossip Girl’ of Mzansi.
The actress is demanding that Musa Khawula issue a public apology for spreading what her legal team calls “false and invasive claims” about her husband’s identity.
She is also demanding that he immediately delete every post about her, including the pictures of her alleged husband, from all his social media platformsโInstagram, TikTok, X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, and YouTubeโwithin a strict 24-hour deadline.
But guess what?
Musakhawula, true to his notorious reputation, posted the actual letter of demandโthe screenshot of the letter from the lawyersโon his social media page.
He then completely brushed off the seriousness of the legal document.
His response, in his signature, provocative style, was simply: “I am innocent… yo guys”.
Literally, that was his immediate response, mocking the severity of the legal threat with a lighthearted, almost flippant dismissal.
And trust me, one thing about Musa Khawula is that he is not going to apologize.
He has built his entire brand on being unapologetic and pushing the boundaries of celebrity gossip, often facing backlash but never backing down.
I don’t know what Lerato Nxumalo is going to do after this blatant defiance.
Is she still going to just be paying lawyers to pursue a costly legal battle?
Honestly, Musa Khawula is not going to do anything about this, as he believes he is untouchable.
So many people tried to take him on and failed.
Just a few days ago, you guys, a similar incident occurred.
He was “fetched” by that guy, you guys, what is his name?
That guy who is accused of dating actress Connie Ferguson, right?
I will try to look for his pictures, you guys, but the incident is confirmed to have happened last week, like literally last week.
So apparently, this guy fetched Khawula and confronted him, demanding an apology and a retraction.
The guy was just like, “You are going to apologize and tell people that you lied about me and Connie Ferguson and again, you’re going to delete the post claiming that I am dating her.”
Guess what Musa Khawula did?

He made a video and told us the full story, a story that perfectly illustrates his cynical approach to public apologies and retractions.
He did apologize on his Twitter account, or X page rather.
But after apologizing, he made a video and told us the truth behind it.
He claimed that the guyโthe alleged Connie Ferguson’s boyfriendโwanted him to write the apology letter himself.
So, he asked the alleged boyfriend to write the letter himself, apologizing and acting like he is Musa Khawula, and then Musa would just copy and paste the text.
Just imagine the craziness of this demand and its acceptance.
Khawula further claimed that they paid him some cash so that he could do that, you guys.
This means Khawula allegedly accepted payment to issue a public apology that he did not genuinely mean and immediately exposed the details of the ‘deal’ afterward, humiliating the person who paid him.
That alone can just tell you that Lerato Nxumalo probably won’t win with this one.
You’re just going to waste your money pursuing a legal battle against a person who treats a serious letter of demand as mere content for his page.
But then again, Lerato has money, so maybe she don’t mind the cost.
The actress, who has been open about some personal milestones but fiercely guards her marriage and family life, claims Khawula’s posts have invaded her family’s privacy, damaged her reputation, and incited harassment.
The leaked information about her “alleged husband” sparked a viral storm, leading to unwanted attention and, according to reports, women even sending friend requests to the man in question.
Nxumalo’s lawyers highlight how the content constitutes โa clear and unjustified intrusion into the private and family life of our Client and those associated with her.โ
The demands for a public apology and removal of content are serious, but Musa Khawulaโs responseโmocking the letter and signing off with “xo xo, gossip girl” in a playful nod to the popular seriesโsuggests he sees this entire legal threat as merely more drama fodder to feed his hungry audience.

The actress, however, appears serious, with her legal team warning of the intention to sue for damages if the demands are ignored and even referencing South African laws on defamation, privacy under Section 14 of the Constitution, and harassment as defined in the Protection from Harassment Act.
The letter also warns of using the Information Regulator under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) for breaches, which can carry possible fines or even imprisonment.
Khawula’s history of defiance and his apparent ability to navigate, or simply disregard, previous legal threats and public confrontations suggests he is not easily intimidated.
His alleged handling of the Connie Ferguson boyfriend sagaโwhere he turned a forced apology into a humiliating exposรฉ of the person demanding itโserves as a clear warning to Lerato Nxumalo and her legal team.
It highlights that victory against Khawula is not simply about getting a retraction; it is about navigating his ability to manipulate the narrative and turn legal proceedings into a new wave of gossip content.
Many in the public domain believe Khawulaโs tactic is to push celebrities into a corner, making them pay him to stay silent or force an apology, only for him to expose the whole transaction, thereby further solidifying his untouchable image.
If Lerato Nxumalo decides to proceed with a full-blown defamation lawsuit, it will be a high-stakes, highly publicised legal battle that will test the limits of celebrity privacy versus the freedom of expression and the murky world of online gossip in South Africa.
This situation has transformed the online gossip scene into a courtroom drama, with the entire nation waiting to see if a celebrity can finally succeed where so many others have failed in silencing the self-proclaimed ‘Gossip King’ of Mzansi.
For now, Musa Khawula has clearly chosen his path: defiance.
He refuses to be silenced or to apologize, leaving the ball squarely in Lerato Nxumalo’s court to decide if she is willing to proceed with the financial and emotional toll of a full legal fight.
Anyway, guys, let me know what you guys think about this.
I will definitely see you on the next one.
