South Today Radio is an idea we care about, and it is not available yet. No audio has been released. There is no podcast feed to subscribe to, and South Today does not have a listing on Apple Podcasts, Spotify or any other directory. If you see one claiming to be ours, it is not.
Why this page exists
The site's navigation points to audio because it is part of our plan. Rather than leave you with an empty player or a dead link, this page tells you where things stand.
What you can use today
- Reading editions. Every story is laid out to be read comfortably on a phone, tablet or desktop, with key takeaways at the top.
- Browser read-aloud. Many browsers and devices include a built-in read-aloud or text-to-speech feature. Where your device offers it, you can use it on any story. The voice and quality come from your own device, not from us.
- RSS feeds. Our feeds page lists text feeds you can follow in a reader of your choice.
- Saved stories. Bookmark stories to come back to later. They are stored only in your own browser.
What South Today Radio might become
We imagine short spoken pieces tied to our reporting: a dish, a room, a stretch of river. A host is listed on our masthead as an illustrative byline, but there is no programme behind it yet. We have no launch date, episode count or format to announce, and we will not guess.
How to hear when it launches
Send a note to [email protected] with the subject line Radio, and we will let you know if audio is released. You can also use the newsletter signup page, though the newsletters are also not sending yet. We will keep your address only for that purpose. When audio exists, this page will be updated first.
